Thanks Victoria! I hope you're all on the mend & your sickness fell at the end of your fab. holiday! Try to get hold of the probiotics I recommend in the post, they have a broader spectrum & mix them up. Get onto them asap + fermented foods will be amazing (PM or email me if you get stuck with anything). re how long - it really depends on the health of the gut, the diet & how much sugar is in the diet... Kids bounce back incredibly well. xx

Wow Kate! This is the most fortuitous timing! we've just returned from 9 weeks away, where our (mostly) paleo diet went out the window, and all 3 kids plus my husband all got sick and ended up on antibiotics (despite my best efforts to avoid them too!). Will certainly be taking your advice. How long do you think it takes to restore the bacteria, to then maintain? I am supplementing with acidophilus capsules, but not sure how long to do that for. Thanks for all your great recipes and advice!
